About
Through the span my adolescence I learned a traditional mode of drawing in an Atelier setting in my hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. I followed an unconventional academic path that brought me to a life in the Berkshires in my mid-late teens, where I began painting. There, I received a Bachelor’s from Bard College at Simon’s Rock with a dual concentration in Visual Studies and Literary Studies.
In my creative work at Simon’s Rock I pursued my conceptual interests in dissonance with the body, sexual dysphoria, despair, ethnic diaspora, and the experience of being a twin.
In my academic work I pursued my interest in the Latin American Boom movement, Literary Modernism, and French Existentialism & Absurdism.
I continue now to follow both my creative and academic interests. I am based in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I have entered the world of antiquarian bookselling and am managing a small, private rare bookstore. I am also pursuing a Master’s in Western Classics at St John’s College.
